Her professional expertise in early childhood neurodevelopment, sensory-motor development, feeding, Plagiocephaly and Torticollis (head and neck issues of infancy) collide with her personal experiences as a mother to bring fellow parents, practical, down-to earth, advice rooted in science. Dr. Kim is a doctorate in psychology, a licensed marriage and family therapist, a registered play therapist specializing in children 0-7 years old, a university professor, a public speaker, and a blogger. Samara is a childhood math specialist with an extreme passion for planning curricula. She graduated Cum Laude from Barnard College, Columbia University with a double major in Economics and French and received her master's in Childhood Math Education from Brooklyn College. Samara has completed over 250 hours of professional development at Teacher's College, Columbia University covering topics like reading, writing and responsive classroom. She has taught grades K-4 for over seven years and is currently a head teacher at the Berkeley Carroll School in NYC.
