What is First Edventures?

First Edventures is a monthly subscription service sending out expert curated, eco friendly toys, books, activities and parent resources to help promote healthy brain development in children ages 0-36 months.

 

What’s inside a First Edventures box?

Each box contains 2-4 toys, 1 book, 3 or more activity ideas and a parent guide targeting four core areas of brain development: physical, cognitive, social/emotional and language.

 

Are your boxes tailored to a child’s age?

Yes they are.  When you sign up for the subscription service we ask for your child’s birthdate.  This allows us to curate toys, books and activities targeting appropriate milestones and provide a parent guide with information on how to achieve those goals.

 

What are your product standards?

We source toys from trusted manufacturers and guarantee the contents of each box to be toxin free.  The wooden toys we choose are made from natural materials, using water-based dyes and organic color pigment.  Our plastic toys are BPA/BPS, PVC, Formaldehyde free and never contain any harmful substances.  Every product we include adheres to the highest health and safety standards.

 

When should I expect my box?

We ship on the 20th of every month starting April 20th, 2017.  Your box should arrive within 2-5 business days after that.  We will notify you when your box is shipped and provide a tracking number.

 

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship to all 50 US states. We look forward to providing International shipping soon.  Please check back in May.

 

How do you ship your boxes?

First Edventures boxes are shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS) 2-3 day Priority Mail.

 

How does billing work?

Signing up for First Edventures means opting into a membership that bills you every month (unless you choose one of the prepay plans or a gift option). All subscriptions re-bill on the last day of every month starting April 30th, 2017, in advance of your next shipment. Shipments go out once a month on the 20th.

 

How does billing work for the 3 and 6 month prepay plan options?

The Prepay subscriptions renew every 3 or 6 months, depending on the plan option you choose.  A box will be shipped to you every month for the duration of the plan length.

 

Could I give a First Edventures box as a gift?

Yes, of course.  A First Edventures box makes a wonderful baby shower, birthday etc. gift.  Simply choose the gift option and follow the indicated steps to checkout.  Currently we offer a one time, one month gift options.

 

How do I update my account information?

To update your account information, login using your email address and password. From there you can update your billing, shipping and login information.

 

How do I cancel my account?

If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with First Edventures, you can cancel your membership and discontinue your monthly payments at any time. In order to cancel before you are re-billed for the next shipment, you need to contact First Edventures prior to the renewal date on the last day of each month by emailing support@firstedventures.com. If your membership has already renewed and you’d like to cancel an upcoming shipment, you must request cancellation by the 19th of the month to be eligible for a refund.  IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL PRIOR TO THE NINETEENTH DAY OF A CALENDAR MONTH, YOU CANNOT BE REFUNDED FOR THAT MONTH’S SHIPMENT. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS ON BOXES THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN SHIPPED.
